I’m moving into a new house with a 3 car garage. I wanted to have an epoxy floor installed in my garage because it makes it very easy to keep the garage clean and it looks good too. I contacted JD @ Custom Garage Works through his website, he responded with in hours of my e-mail and sent me a rough estimate via e-mail. His final quote was within $50 of his e-mail estimate…guy knows his stuff! He was very good at explaining the entire process and how long it would take. He also told me that his process didn’t use any acid on the floor to do the etching (i.e. doesn’t create any environmental issues). I explained to him that we were moving into the house in about 10 days and the week before I would be out of town and wouldn’t be able to let him into the garage. He said he would do the work on the Saturday and Sunday before our move. On Saturday morning he called me about 20 minutes before he arrived at the house and he did arrive at the time he had promised. He was there with his brother and they went to work immediately. The only thing I had to do was make sure the garage was emptied out. It took about 5 hours to clean the garage, grind the concrete for prep and vacuum, spread out the epoxy and the flakes, and finish the work. Because of the cooler temperatures he said it would take a little longer to cure. He returned on Sunday morning and sealed the floor with two coats of a clear gloss. He asked me to wait until the next day (Monday) before I walked on the surface. The results were amazing. The floor looks excellent. JD did excellent work, arrived when promised and finished the work as promised. I would certainly recommend him to anyone and would use him again if I ever have another garage.
